We build the system a matter lives in

Finch & Bench builds Finch, the legal operating system for law firms. Less paperwork. More lawyering.

Why Finch exists

The best legal software handles one slice of the work. Research lives in one tool, documents in another, billing in a third. The gaps between them are filled by lawyers retyping the same information.

Finch is built by a practising advocate and a software engineer to hold the whole matter in one place. It learns to work in the firm’s own style, grounds every fact in the page it came from, and leaves the judgment where it belongs, with the lawyer.

Finch & Bench is bootstrapped. Cohort 1 is a beta that is live in India now, and the United Kingdom is planned next.

How we work with a firm

An engineer in your office for the first three months.

After rollout, Finch keeps being built from your requests under the annual contract. A partner’s request can change the software itself.

  1. Month 1

    Learn how the firm works

An engineer from Finch works out of your office and maps the process as it really runs.

  2. Month 2

    Personalise

Drafting styles, brief formats, precedent structures, matter types and role permissions, practice by practice.

  3. Month 3

    Roll out

Training on live matters, role by role.

See Finch on one of your matters.

Register interest and the next step is a 45-minute live demonstration on one matter, end to end: intake, an 800-page set, the brief, an advocacy note and a draft with tracked changes.
